대한영상치의학회(회장 황의환) 회원 40여명이 지난달 20~22일 사흘간 인도네시아 발리서 개최된 제 10차 아시아구강악안면방사선학회 대회에 참석했다.

한국, 중국, 일본 등 아시아구강악안면방사선학회(AAOMFR) 회원들이 격년에 한 번씩 참석하는 이번 국제대회.

‘Present and future prospect of diagnostic imaging in dento maxillo facial radiology’를 주제로 진행됐다.
이번 대회서 최순철 교수(서울치대)가 ‘Assessment of soft tissue calcification in the face and neck by computed tomography and panoramic radiolography’를 주제로 내실있는 특강을 펼쳤다.

이병도 교수(원광치대)의 ‘Attitude of the Korrean dentists towards radiation safety and selection criteria’ 외에도 구술발표도 3편이나 발표됐다.

또한 정연화 교수(부산대치전원)가 ‘Radiographic evaluation of third molar development in 6 to 24 year olds’외 포스터발표가 17편이 발표됐다.

한편 함께 개최된 총회선 국제구강악안면방사선학회(IADMFR)의 아시아 디렉터 중 한 명이 최순철 교수로 정해졌다. 더불어 AAOMFR의 공식학회지론 한국의 ‘Imaging Science in Dentistry(ISD)’와 일본의 ‘Oral Radiology’가 정해졌다.
